Adventure of a Lifetime

I jump out on a limb.
Take the final leap.
A dive into the unknown.
Just to let you in.

Focus on the temporary.
That is this life.
Taking in one breathe.
To release the next.

Where are all my fears?
They've flown away.
I told them to get lost.
They fled far from me.

I take the first steps.
The adventure of a lifetime.
I'll make my way through.
A world too large.

Take my hand as we begin.
The unforeseen is ahead.
The exhilaration has pushed.
Past any doubts that I had.

Will we walk?
Will we fly?
Will we climb?
Or will we swim?

I'm packed and ready.
For whatever is brought.
Our way may be unpaved.
We'll make it a new road.

Get lost with me.
Let's find the unsought.
Dig for the forgotten.
Seek out what's true.

Join me along the way.
We'll find each other.
As we start anew.
Life is waiting for us.
